We heard from key stakeholders of the ASEAN retail landscape in our 3rd instalment of The Retail Revolution in ASEAN

According to the AIBP survey conducted among retailers in the ASEAN region, there is a growing trend towards creating brand and product experiences within retail stores. The survey found that 72.6% of retailers believed that their stores would serve as a hub for brand and product experiences.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that 71.2% of retailers were currently building omnichannel customer journeys, indicating a shift towards integrating digital and physical channels to provide a seamless customer experience. However, the survey also highlighted that 53.0% of retailers found integrating online and in-store experiences to be the most challenging aspect for their organizations.

Overall, these findings suggest that retailers in the ASEAN region are actively adapting to changing consumer preferences and behaviors by focusing on creating immersive brand experiences and integrating digital channels into their overall retail strategy. Despite the challenges, many retailers remain optimistic about the future of retail in the region and are committed to providing exceptional customer experiences across all channels.
